Zoey is a rescue dog that was originally surrendered to us at about one year old. The current owner had some financial difficulties and was concerned Zoey might have some underlying health problems. A vet decided she might have liver failure or cancer. We had Zoey checked by our veterinarian and we also had an ultrasound done and could not verify anything wrong, other than slightly elevated liver levels. She is on meds and the doctor said she doesn't have signs of liver disease, nor cancer. She has been here for the past couple of weeks and has been completely fine, eating normal and playful as can be. Zoey is house trained and crate trained. She does well with all people, although she will be stand offish at first with some men, but warms up quickly. Zoey can get nervous walking on loud streets with high car traffic but otherwise likes walks. Zoey would love a home with a male dog so she has a buddy.
