Carson is a young male with a lot of potential. He was returned for being dominant and needs a firm handler and he needs structure and routine. I have had him here a few months and have not had any issues with him. I have put him in stressful situations and tested him and have not had any reactions. From all the signs, he began resource guarding in his prior home, so that needs to be watched. Looking for a home with no kids and firm owners who will work with a trainer and continue making him a better dog. He walks on a leash, is house trained and crate trained. Will do well with female dogs as well. When I say he needs structure and routine, it also entails being crated at night, not being allowed on the couch as he will claim it as his own, and an owner who will not let him rule or dominate. I have had him with female dogs and he has been great with them. Again, he will not be placed with kids.
(Update 10-15-21) Carson has now been here for 8 months. He had one trial adoption and it did not work out. He has not had any issues here and has not reached or been aggressive with me or any employees here. He does need some training and most importantly boundaries, structure and routine and he will fit right in.)
